BRIKET BIOARANG OF CHARCOAL POWDER / FLOUR SAWS TEAK

BRIKET BIOARANG OF CHARCOAL POWDER / FLOUR SAWS TEAK
Lately, the search for alternative fuels that can be updated (renewable), environmentally friendly and economic value, the more done.

Teak wood is mostly composed of cellulose (40-50%), hemicellulose (20-30%), lignin (20-30%), and a small amount of inorganic materials. Because of the unique nature and characteristics, the most widely used teak wood for construction and decoration purposes. So the need for teak growing and potential
dwindling forests requires the use of wood in an efficient and discreet.

Generally most of the waste sawdust is only used as furnace fuel, or burned away, so it can cause environmental pollution. Though teak sawdust an untapped biomass optimally and have a relatively large calorific value. By converting sawdust into briquettes, it will increase the economic value of these materials, as well as reducing environmental pollution.

Charcoal briquette is a solid fuel containing carbon, has a high calorific value, and can be lit in a long time. Bioarang is obtained by burning charcoal without air dry biomass (pyrolysis). While biomass is organic material derived from living things. Biomass can actually be used directly as a source of heat energy to fuel, but less efficient. The value of biomass fuels is only about 3000 cal, while bioarang capable of producing 5000 cal.

Pyrolysis is the chemical decomposition process is by using the heating in the absence of oxygen. This process is also called carbonation process or that the process for obtaining carbon or charcoal, also called "High Temperature carbonization" at a temperature of 4500 C-5000C. In the pyrolysis process resulting gases, such as CO, CO2, CH4, H2, and light hydrocarbons. Type of gas produced varies
of raw materials. One example of the raw material coal pyrolysis to produce gases such as CO, CO2, NOx, and SOx. Which in large quantities, these gases can pollute the environment and endanger human health either directly or indirectly. Pyrolysis process is influenced among other factors: the size and distribution of particles, temperature, ketinggan pile of material and moisture content.

Bioarang briquette charcoal has several advantages compared to regular (conventional), among others:
The heat generated by the briquettes bioarang relatively higher compared with the usual wood and calorific value can reach 5,000 calories
Briquettes bioarang when burned does not cause smoke or odor, so that the weak economic communities living in cities with housing ventilation is not adequate, it is practical to use briquettes bioarang.
After bioarang burning briquettes (being fired) is not necessary to vent or scrub aerated.
Bioarang briquetting technology is simple and requires no chemicals other than those contained in the briquette material itself.
The equipment used is also simple, simply by existing tools created as needed.

Therefore, it is necessary to develop briquetting bioarang in efforts to use teak wood flour (teak wood powder)

To achieve this, the research to produce briquettes bioarang good quality, environmentally friendly and have high economic value. With the use of teak sawdust into briquettes bioarang, it is expected to reduce environmental pollution, providing an alternative source of fuel that can be updated and useful to society.

We produce flour teak wood (teak wood powder) of sawdust teak wood (teak wood sawdust) with the following specifications:
